Ben is a male loggerhead turtle that Sammy met when he was taken to the Monterey Animal Rescue Center. His current status and whereabouts are unknown.

Appearance

Ben is a male loggerhead turtle with brown scales on his head and flippers, brown carapace, and brown eyes.

Personality

While nothing much is known is about Ben, he is completely laid-back when he was taken by the animal rescuers to the Monterey Animal Rescue Center without showing any fear of what would happen to himself once he reaches there.

Sammy

Ben briefly encountered Sammy when the two are taken to the Monterey Animal Rescue Center. At first, Sammy briefly mistook him for Shelly and when he asks him what the humans are going to do with them, Ben told him that he overheard them saying that they are going to take care of them at the rescue center as well as putting a tag on them before they release them back into the ocean.

• In both the American English and British English versions, Ben speaks in a Spanish accent. He also mentioned liking to eat cuchifritos which are various fried foods prepared principally of pork in Spanish and Puerto Rican cuisine.
• Ben's name is mentioned in neither the American English nor the British English version of the film. His name is revealed in the British English version of the end credits. However, in the American English version, he is credited as simply "Loggerhead".
• Ben is named after his British English voice actor Ben Bishop.
