Crudd: Hey, what are those shells you have there?
Glitz: I want one, too.
Ella: (sighs) If you'd been on time, you'd know that Mr. Lulu went off to get more.
Glitz: Nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah.
(Crudd takes the shell away from Ella)
Crudd: Whoopsie!
Ella: Huh?
Ricky: Hey! Who do you think you are?
Ella: Forget about it, Ricky.
Ricky: Give her back her shell right this instant!
Ella: But it's not important.
Ricky: We're gonna get your shell back, Ella. (to Pipo and Annabel) Here's the plan. I'll distract them, you blind them, and you're the fastest, so you'll sprint. (to the Rockfish) Hey there, I've always wondered, what exactly is the difference between you and sea urchins?
(Annabel squirts ink at the Rockfish, and Pipo grabs the shell from Glitz)
Glitz: Thief! Thief!
(The Rockfish, Ricky, and Annabel are all chasing after Pipo. Just then, Babbles arrives and is about to kiss Ella, but she swims up and Pipo bumps into Babbles. The shell lands onto Ella's flippers)
Ella: Calm down, everybody!
(Glitz creates static electricity on Annabel who's on top of her. The Rockfish, Ricky, Pipo, and Annabel all scream again as they continue to fight. Just then, Lulu arrives)
Lulu: Ella! Seriously?
Ella: Huh? (The students all stop fighting. Later outside the school, Ella is about to swim home, but Alpha and Albert all swim past her) Hey! You could be more careful!
Shelly: Hey there, Ella. Why aren't you in school?
Ella: I was kicked out. Unfairly!
Shelly: Now, now, Ella, if Mr. Lulu punished you, there must've been a good reason.
Ella: No, I'm telling you, that's the whole point. It's so unfair!
Shelly: Well, you are out of control. You're going to cool your flippers back at the house.
(Ella swims away)

Sammy: Mmm. Mmm.
Ella: Grandpa? You're snacking between meals when Grandma said...
Sammy: Uh, you won't tell her, will you?
(Ella swims out of the habitat)

Ella: Nothing but a bunch of selfish, unfair, lying... and loud! (The crabs all stop singing) If only everybody listened to each other without screaming and respected all the rules, everything would be so perfect. (sees someone swimming in front of her) Oh. A little baby fish from the lower depths. Here? (swims to the nautilus) Are you lost?
Nautilus: Fooled you! (swims to the entranceway outside the reef)
Ella: Hey! Where are you going? (follows the nautilus)

Ella: Huh? (sees the nautilus) Ahh! (swims and looks inside a cave) Hmm? Hmm? (She swims inside the cave, unaware that the nautilus has already gone out. Suddenly a portal activates) Aah! (Ella screams as she sucks inside)

Ella: Ohh! Uhh! Huh?
(Ella swims back to the "reef")

"Perfect Universe fish": Hey, you don't have the right of way.
Ella: Excuse me?
"Perfect Universe fish 2": We're on your right, so we have the right of way.
Ella: Oh. Uh, sorry.
"Perfect Universe fish": That's why it's always better to be in pairs.
"Perfect Universe fish 2": Go on, go join your partner.
Ella: Huh? (She notices that the crabs are walking in pairs and she swims past them. She then notices her "friends") Yay! Hey, there, pals. Don't you find it kind of bizarre, all these crabs who work so quietly, and all the fish that swim in pairs, respecting the right of way?
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": You're the one who's kind of bizarre, asking that... don't you think?
Ella: (notices a number "37" on "Ricky"'s shell) What is that you have on your shell, Ricky?
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Uh, why are you calling me Ricky? If you're trying to get me upset, you won't succeed.
Ella: You guys are just pulling my flippers, right?
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Hey! Need I remind you they're waiting for us to play and have fun?
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": Oh, yeah! Super! We mustn't be late.
("Pipo" and "Annabel" both swim away to the playground)
Ella: Huh?
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Come on, Lola. This time, you're coming with me.
Ella: Lola?
("Ricky" and Ella both swim to the playground)

"Perfect Universe's Pipo": It's like you've changed, Lola. This is super! Are you gonna stay with us forever?
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Is that true, Lola? Are you gonna wear your number once again?
Ella: I... well, actually, I'm not Lola. My name is Ella. You're mistaking me for someone else. I come from a different reef.
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": In fact, you haven't changed at all.
(Above the kids, they see a crab talking to Lola)
"Perfect Universe crab": For the 103rd time, respect the speed limit, Lola!
(The crab walks away, as Lola swims back to her friends)
Lola: Uhh! It took me hours to clean up the reserve. Next time... (giggles when she notices her alternate counterpart, Ella) I won't let myself get caught!
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Ohh! There are two Lolas!
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": Hey! That's super!
Lola: Who are you?
Ella: Ella. I think your friends have mistaken me for you.
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Hey, you two are, like, so alike!
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": Lola still has her number on her back. Ella doesn't even have the trace of one.
Lola: You are so lucky not to have a number.
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Hey, if there are two of you--
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Yikes! We're an odd number!
Ella: So?
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": Well, just look around you. Everything is even-numbered. It's super!
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Otherwise, can you imagine how horrible it would be for anyone who'd have to swim alone?
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Or to eat? Or to play?
Lola: It's completely silly, isn't it?
Ella: I'm not so sure about that. Rules can be good, you know.
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": Wow! This is super, Lola! Your look-alike is perfect!
Lola: Yeah? And so?
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": Well, uh... I was just noticing, that's all. Isn't it super?
Lola: You're right. It's super. Since she's so perfect, she can be my perfect replacement. And I can leave this ever-so-perfect reef. Farewell, ridiculous rules. I'm off on an adventure! (swims away) Thanks, Ella, and good luck. You'll need it! Huh!
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": All right, well, that's super. She seemed pretty certain about her decision.
Ella: You think? I certainly didn't have the intention of taking her place.
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Well, you didn't throw her out of the reef, did you? Nobody forced her at all, did they?
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": By the way, where are you from?
(Later, Ella explains to her "Perfect Universe" friends what happened)
Ella: So, I don't really know how all this happened, but here I am.
"Perfect Universe's Crudd": All the same, I still wonder if it's allowed.
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": As if there wasn't any rule stipulating a case like this. Of course, it's allowed. It's super, isn't it?
"Perfect Universe's Glitz": Yeah! Especially seeing how much nicer you are than Lola is. So, welcome here. Come on, it's your turn to play. (gives Ella a coin)
Ella: Wow. Even the scorpfish are nice here. I want to stay here forever! (about to throw the coin)
"Perfect Universe's Glitz": No! We never, ever throw the coin. You have to hand it to me.
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": If you throw it, the coin could fly off to any-old-where.
Ella: Ah. Uh... very well. (swims to "Glitz" and passes the coin to her)
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": This is a super game, isn't it?

("Perfect Universe's Lulu" is teaching his class at the shell school. The students all raise their fins, and he picks Ella. Ella answers a question correctly and he responds with a nod. Later, "Perfect Universe's Sammy" is seen talking to "Perfect Universe's Big Boss" at the palaver tree. "Sammy" meets Ella and he gives her some seaweed to eat. Much later, Ella, starting to become bored, is playing the "coin pass" game with her friends. Then at school, Ella is visibly annoyed when her friends are all raising their fins. She yawns when Pipo correctly answers a question)

("Glitz" passes the coin to Ella. Ella is about to throw the coin, but "Glitz" stops her)
Ella: I don't want to spend a second longer with--
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Stop! Everybody freeze! What did you just say?
Ella: Actually, I'd like to go back home now.

"Perfect Universe's Sammy": Ella, do you really wish to upset the entire equilibrium of our reef by leaving?
Ella: No, of course not. I, uh--
"Perfect Universe's Sammy": Glad to hear it. (picks up Ella and writes the number "68" on her shell using chalk) Ella is now officially a member of our reef. Now nothing must ever change again. It's perfect!
"Perfect Universe villagers": Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!
(Ella is seen visibly scare of the happy utopians)

Ella: (points up) Up there, look! A shooting starfish!
(While the kids are all distracted, Ella swims out of the playground as fast as possible. She gets caught by "Perfect Universe's Annabel" and she takes her back to the playground. Later when the kids are playing the "coin pass" game again, Ella passes the coin to "Perfect Universe's Ricky". After "Ricky" passes the coin to "Annabel", Ella hides underneath a seaweed)
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Huh? Uh... Huh? Lola?
(Ella tries to escape underneath the seaweed, but "Perfect Universe's Ricky" finds her)
Ella: Huh? (Much later when the kids continue to play the "coin pass" game, Ella has an idea) Huh? Everybody freeze! (swims out of the playground)
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": Hang on a second, according to rule number 312, in the case of an important threat, we do have the right to move. That's super!

Ella: Huh?
"Perfect Universe fish": It's not allowed to swim against the current!
(Ella swims past "Perfect Universe's Albert" and "Perfect Universe's Alpha", causing Lola's friends to all stop to wait for them to swim past)
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Leaving the reef is forbidden!
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": But it's not as serious as us going back to being an odd number.

Ella: Huh?
(Ella hides behind the seaweeds when she sees that Lola has been captured by two barracudas)
"Perfect Universe barracuda": Now, now. Not in between meals. You have to wait until dinner.
(Lola's friends have caught up with Ella)
Ella: Shh. Look.
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Oh, no! Lola! We have to save her!
Ella: You could empty your ink pouch and--
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": But that would get everything dirty! We're not allowed!
Ella: Then let's take them by surprise and we'll all charge at the same time, head-on.
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": Now, that's what I call a super plan.
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": However, we'd have to do it under the supervision of one of the members of the village council.
Ella: Are you joking? We've gotta act fast. It's almost dinnertime.
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Then we have to get back! We're not allowed to skip meals!
Ella: Hmm. Okay, I understand. So, starting right now, we're gonna play a game, and I'm the one who sets the rules. Here's the plan. I'll distract them, you'll blind them, and you're the fastest, so you'll sprint.
"Perfect Universe's Pipo": What a super idea!
(Similar to what their original counterparts did, "Perfect Universe's Ricky" swims to the barracudas)
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Say there, I've always wondered, what exactly is the difference between you and a shark?
"Perfect Universe barracuda": Are we obliged to answer such a stupid question?
"Perfect Universe barracuda 2: Yeah. Otherwise, it's not polite.
"Perfect Universe barracuda: You see, little one, it's a question of--
("Perfect Universe's Annabel" swims above the barracudas)
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": Hmm? Mm-hmm. (squirts ink at the barracudas)
(The barracudas all scream, while Ella and "Perfect Universe's Pipo" both carry Lola to safety)
"Perfect Universe's barracuda": Huh? "Not between meals" means you have to wait until dinner.
(The barracudas swim away)
Ella: Yah-hoo! I declare the flipper-feet winners by knockout over the barracuda team.
(Lola's friends have untied Lola)
Lola: Thank you, my friends. Without you, I--
"Perfect Universe's Annabel": We're so glad you're back, Lola!
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": All this happened thanks to you.
Ella: Well, you know, in order to guide you, I was inspired by my friends, and I miss them.
Lola: I think it's our turn to help Ella find them. Rule number 820-- always return a favor.
"Perfect Universe's Ricky": Except when it's almost dinnertime. Heh heh. Just kidding.
(The kids all laugh. Later, Ella is inside the cave where the portal is)
Lola: We sure are gonna miss you.
Ella: Me, too. (Nearby, the nautilus is watching Ella enters the cave) Bye-bye! (Ella rides on the portal to back to her universe) Whoa! (Finally, she returns and she swims to the reef village)

(Ella bumps into Mika on her way to the playground)
Mika: Hey! Look where you're going!
Ella: Sorry!

Pipo: Ella! Where were you? We were looking everywhere for you.
Annabel: We got your shell back.
Ella: Thanks, pals. You guys are... uh... (erases the chalk number on her shell) perfect!
