Next: "The Precious Ring" |
Scene: Island. The seagulls are on a palm tree.
Ringo: Fish for breakfast, fish for lunch, fish for dinner. I'm sick of it.
George: It's true that savoring a little turtle every now and then would be great.
Paul: Uh-huh! (notices a cage nearby) Huh? There just might be a solution. (flies to the cage)
George: Huh?
Paul: Look at this nice little trap.
Ringo: Ya-hoo! We're going to be able to vary the menu! (flies to the cage) Hmm. And we get to savor a turtle without wearing ourselves out.
George: But-- But John has forbidden us from eating any.
Ringo: Yeah, but in the meantime, John isn't here right now, is he?
Paul: Yeah, let's take advantage of the fact that he's busy elsewhere. And there-- the trap closes shut.
George: Whoa. Fantastic. But how are we going to lure a turtle inside?
Paul: Hmm, good question.
Seagulls: Hmm.
Scene: Reef village. Ricky, Ella, Pipo, and Annabel are playing around
(Ricky notices a jellyfish bait)
Ricky: Huh? (swims to the bait)
Ella: Where are you going, Ricky?
Ricky: Be right back. Ahh! (He's about to grab the bait, but the bait moves up, causing Ricky to pop out of the water for a brief moment) Huh? (chases after the bait)
Ella: Ricky, you shouldn't! That jellyfish doesn't seem normal. (the bait moves away) Huh?
Ricky: Ohh, you can be such a scaredy-cat sometimes. (follows the bait)
Ella: Hmm? Ohh.
(Ella sees Pipo and Annabel swim away and thus, they aren't aware of what's going on. Ella sighs, but she follows Ricky)
Scene: Island. George is luring Ricky to the cage.
(George and Paul are hiding behind a leaf on a palm tree, watching Ricky)
George: (to Paul) Drats. He's minuscule.
Paul: Yeah, but look. Here comes second helpings.
(Ella arrives)
Ella: Ricky!
Ricky: Ya-hoo! (leaps forwards and grab the bait) Ha ha! (George pulls the bait away) It's still kind of strange.
Ella: I don't think that--
Ricky: This is like a dream. (sees jellyfish corpses inside the cage) It's paradise here.
Ella: (hears a noise) Huh? (sees a coconut falling from a nearby tree, causing her to gasp) Ricky. It's, uh-- (another coconut falls near Ella, causing her to leap inside the cage) Aah! No!
Ricky: (eating the jellyfish) I knew you'd change your mind.
Paul: Oh? Blblblbl!
George: Come on, let's go, let's go.
Ringo: Wait, we have to wait for the truck to close shut.
George: Yeah, well, what's it matter? We'll grab them on their way out.
(John arrives)
John: Grab what?
George: Huh? Hey! Why, hello, John. How'd the fishing go? Did you eat well?
John: Very well, thank you. What are you guys up to?
Paul, Ringo, and George: Nothing at all.
John: Hmm. (sees Ricky and Ella inside the cage)
(The seagulls all gasp, as John flies to the cage to rescue Ricky and Ella. George's stomach rumbles, causing Paul and Ringo to angrily glare at him)
George: Hmm?
(Meanwhile, Ricky has finished eating all the jellyfish)
Ricky: Uhh. I'm stuffed.
(John arrives)
John: Are you guys crazy or what, roaming around the island like this? It's swarming with seagulls around here. (looks up, and sees his seagull flock all waving to him)
Paul, Ringo, and George: Yoo-hoo!
Ella: That's exactly what I keep repeating to him.
Ricky: In the meantime, everything's fine. Nothing bad has happened to us.
John: Because I just got here. Any later and-- (hears a coconut above) Hmm? (the coconut falls down) No! (the coconut bonks John on the head, knocking him out)
Ricky and Ella: John! John!
Ricky: Whoa, you sure got one heck of a bump on the head. Are you all right?
John: I'm... fine, my friends.
Ricky: You scared us out of our wits, you can say that for sure.
Ella: Right, we'd better head home now. See you soon, John.
(John starts walking like a sea turtle and he follows Ricky and Ella)
Ricky: Uh, Ella?
Ella: (to John) Hey, why are walking like a turtle?
John: Ha ha ha ha! What kind of question is that? Because I am a turtle, silly.
Ella: Huh?
John: Uh... why are you looking at me like that?
Ricky: He really thinks he's a turtle.
Ella: It's because of the bump he got on his head. Oh, poor guy. John?
John: Yeah?
Ella: Um... you're not a turtle.
John: Huh?
Ella: Look, you don't even have a shell.
John: (looks behind him) Ahh! Somebody stole my shell! (grabs a coconut shell and wears it on his head) Whew. Here it is. That scared the daylights out of me. There, now, that's better.
Ella: (to Ricky) We can't just leave him like this. We have to help him get his memory back. Plus, if the others ever find out he lost his head, we're done for.
Ricky: We have to get him away from here. (to John) Hey, John, let's go over there. We're gonna play a game.
(Ricky, Ella, and John all walk to hide behind a large rock. Above them, the three seagulls are watching them the entire time.)
George: What's he doing?
Paul: How bizarre! It looks like he's imitating a turtle.
George: No! Our boss would never be that stupid.
Paul and Ringo: (shake their head) Mm-mm.
(Below them, Ricky watches the seagulls still talking to each other)
Ricky: Right. So, if John thinks he's a turtle because of a bump on the head, all we have to do is give him another bump to reverse the effect. (He climbs up to the top of John's coconut shell hat. Ricky bumps onto the coconut shell hat)
John: Who's there? (Ricky continues to bumps onto the coconut shell hat) Oh, I get it. I have to figure out what song he's playing.
(John hums as he bops his head back and forth, causing Ricky to fall down and land on the ground)
Ella: Are you all right, Ricky?
Ricky: Mm-hmm.
(Nearby, the three seagulls are examining the cage)
Paul: So then, why won't this cage close? (gets inside the cage and look around)
Ringo: Let me have a look.
George: Ohh, it's because you don't put enough weight on it. (steps on a spring) Like this. (Sure enough, the cage closes and traps the three seagulls all inside) There you go.
Paul: Oh, well, bravo! Very clever. Now we're stuck.
Seagulls: John!
(Nearby, Ricky and Ella are watching the seagulls the entire time)
Ella: (to Ricky) You see? It really was a trap. I was right.
John: I'm too hot. I'm going to take a dip. (walks out of his hiding place)
Ricky: But you don't know how to hold your breath for very long.
Ella: Hey, when he sees that he can't stay underwater very long, he'll understand that he's not a turtle.
Ricky: You're a genius!
(Ricky and Ella both high-flippers, making the latter giggle)
John: Ahh, nothing like a nice, refreshing dip. (sees the three seagulls all trap inside the cage) Ohh! Seagulls! They're going to eat us!
Ricky: Uh, don't worry, John. Look, they're stuck in there. Come on, let's go for a swim now.
John: Yeah, let's go dunk our shells. At least underwater, we'll be safe from seagulls.
Ringo: Hey, John! Come back!
Paul: "Dunk our shells"?
George: "Safe from the seagulls"?
Paul: How about that? It's as if John thought he was a turtle!
George: Wait a second. If John has lost it, that means that there's no longer anybody to stop us from chowing down on a turtle.
(John leaps into the water)
John: Yah-hoo!
(Ricky and Ella both laugh in amusement)
Ricky and Ella: Hmm?
(Nearby, the seagulls have noticed a few coconuts falling from the trees)
Paul: Huh?
George: Ahh!
(Meanwhile, Ricky and Ella are performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation by pushing the water out of John's beak)
Ella: You see? You can't do it, John. That's because you're not a turtle.
John: No, you're right. I'm not a sea turtle.
Ella: Yeah.
John: I'm a land turtle! I'm made to live on solid ground.
(Nearby, the seagulls are walking to a nearby tree, with Paul guiding Ringo and George)
Paul: More to the right! A bit more, a bit more! Turn for lock! Stop! (looks around) Uh, make a U-turn! (the seagulls are about to turn around, but a coconut lands near them) Hmm.
(Back to Ricky, Ella, and John, the latter is lying down while Ricky and Ella are discussing how to restore John's memory back)
Ella: Of course! If we awaken his bird instincts, John will remember that he's a seagull.
Ricky: You're right! Good idea! Hey, John, how about we teach you how to fly?
John: Huh? Ha ha ha ha! Yeah, right. A flying turtle? Did you get a bump on your head or what?
Ella: You're right, John. Turtles like us can't fly. But turtles with feathers can.
John: Hmm?
Ricky: Absolutely. And you are definitely a feathered turtle, John.
John: Hmm. Hmm?
(Later, Ricky is "teaching" John to how to fly)
Ricky: That's right, like that! Put your arms up higher! Good! Stretch out your neck.
Ella: Maybe it'd be easier if he built up momentum.
(Ricky, Ella, and John all walk away together)
Ricky: A more aerodynamic position. Try and push off with your feet.
(Ricky and John are above a cliff)
Ella: Uh, you sure about this?
Ricky: It can't fail! (pushes John to the cliff) Don't look down, John. Aim for the sky.
(John screams as he falls down from the cliff)
Ella: Aww.
(Ella angrily looks up at Ricky, making him did a nervous laugh. Nearby, the seagulls are shaking a palm tree to get a coconut to fall down)
Seagulls: Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! (a coconut falls onto the cage, opening it) Yay!
Ricky, Ella, and John: Oh, no! The seagulls!
(John sees the beach hut and points at it)
John: This way!
(Ricky, Ella, and John all walk inside the hut)
Ella: Hey, John, look at your reflection.
(John sees his reflection in a mirror shard)
John: What? What, is that me? (picks up the shard) I'm a seagull.
(John walks outside, right when the seagulls all arrive)
Ringo: There!
(Paul is about to enter the hut, but John blocks his way)
Paul: Huh?
John: I'm a seagull.
Paul: Come on, John. What do you think you're doing? You're a seagull just like us, and we seagulls don't defend turtles. We eat them!
(Inside the hut, Ricky and Ella are hiding from the seagulls. They both gasp when they overheard their conversation)
John: They... eat them?
Paul and Ringo: Mm-hmm.
Ella: (to Ricky) They're trying to brainwash him.
John: Hmm.
Ella: He's gonna forget his promise to never eat turtles.
(Paul enters the hut)
Paul: Now, now, little guys.
John: (pushes Paul aside) Shoo! They're mine.
Ricky and Ella: John! No! No!
(John grabs Ricky and Ella, and flies out of the hut)
George: Oh, he could've shared.
Ella: Aah! Put us down! Remember your promise!
(John throws Ricky and Ella up, causing them to both screams. They land on John's back)
John: Ha ha ha! Don't be scared, my friends. I haven't forgotten my pledge, and no one is going to eat you. I promise.
Ella: Whew!
(John flies back down to the island and places Ricky and Ella in the water)
John: I can't thank you enough for having helped me. Even if I am a seagull, from now on, I'll also be a turtle in my heart.
Ricky: Yeah. And we'll be seagulls with shells.
(Ricky, Ella, and John all laugh in amusement. John waves at the turtles as they swim down to get back to the reef village)
George: Right. So, what are we going to eat, then?
Paul and Ringo: What do you think? Fish!
Paul: Blblblblb! Huh? (sighs)
Scene: Reef village
Pipo: Hey, where were you guys? We've been looking everywhere for you.
Annabel: We spotted a big school of jellyfish not too far from here. Ricky, you're gonna have a heyday.
Ricky: Yeah!
Ella: Hmm?
Ricky: Aw, come on. Just one.
(The kids all swim away)
THE END
