Scene: Outside the reef. Jax and two electric rays are playing tag.
(The electric rays dances in front of Jax)
Electric rays: ♫ Na-na-na-na-na-na ♫
Jax: This time, you won't get away so easily. (The electric rays knock Jax down, making him land on the ocean floor. Jax looks up and see a ring on his head) Ohh! What in the world is this? Help!
Stingray 1: It really suits you. It makes you look super-important.
Stingray 2: Will you lend it to me? Huh? Please, Jax? Please? Huh, please?
(The electric rays and the reef villagers all surround Jax)
Jax: Hey, it's mine. And starting from now on, call me Mr. Jax!
Villagers: Whoa! (Jax swims away to the entrance to the reef) Huh? Hmm.
Scene: Near the passageway to outside the reef village.
Ella: And then... yah! Huh! Hwah! A big old zinger right on the stinger!
Pipo: Ella, are you sure you wouldn't rather play?
Ella: Don't have the time. I've gotta do my homework for the survival in the ocean lesson. I'm sure we're gonna have a pop quiz.
Annabel: Well, I love surprises.
Ricky: 18-3, my lead.
Pipo: It doesn't matter if I do my homework or not. I always fail the tests.
Ricky: And anyway, that's the whole point of a pop quiz. We're not supposed to be ready for it. All right, come on, Ella. Let's play all together.
Ella: (sees Jax and the villagers swimming behind Ricky, Pipo, and Annabel) Why don't you just ask Jax instead? (sighs)
(The villagers all chatter as they swim behind Jax. They all land onto Jax, knocking the ring off his head)
Jax: Oh, it suits me perfectly! It's my precious!
Annabel: (picks up the coin, but she notices the ring nearby) Hmm? Ohh, look at what I found.
Ricky: Huh?
Jax: My precious! (sees Ricky and Pipo swimming to the ring) Hmm?
Annabel: It's beautiful!
Ricky: Huh? (sees the ring) Ohh. Let me see.
Annabel: No!
Pipo: (grabs the ring) Heh heh. You have the coin, so this is mine.
Ricky: Let's switch. (places the coin into Pipo's mouth and grabs the ring)
Pipo: Whoa!
(Ricky and Annabel both fight over the ring, but Jax arrives)
Jax: My prized possession! It's mine!
Ricky and Annabel: Liar! Liar! I had it first! I had it first!
(Pipo spits the coin out his mouth and knocks Jax out)
Ricky: Yah-hoo! It's mine!
(Ricky is about to grab the ring, but the villagers all knock him away)
Villager: Or not!
(Ricky grabs the ring from the villager)
Jimbo: (grabs the ring from Ricky) It's not a toy for children.
César: That's for sure. Entrust it with me. (grabs the ring from Jimbo) It'll be safe at my place.
Jax: It's mine!
(The argument between the villagers is so loud, that Sammy overhears it nearby. He swims to where the commotion is.)
Sammy: Stop! (The argument stopped when the villagers all hear Sammy's voice. Sammy swims over and picks up the ring.) Ohh. It's true that it is beautiful. Hmm. Ohh.
Jimbo: I'm begging you, give it to me!
César: For how long have we been friends now, Sammy?
Pipo: Women-- Uh, no... children first!
Jax: My prized possession!
Sammy: Enough! Nobody will keep it. Just look at yourselves. This ring has caused complete and utter chaos. So if you want peace within the reef, we have to get rid of it.
Villagers: Aww!
Scene: Palaver tree at dawn. Sammy is hosting a meeting to the villagers.
Sammy: I'm gonna form a group that I will take to throw the ring into the deepest part of the seabed. I choose Ella.
Ella: Huh? (Sammy smiles at his granddaughter) Oh, no! But I have a lesson to study for. I couldn't care less about that silly ring.
(The villagers all shout around Ella, making her swim to Sammy)
Sammy: Precisely, Ella. Your indifference will help us keep our cool. If only everybody were more like you. (The villagers all groan) Ray, Pipo, Annabel, and Ricky, you will come with us.
(The villagers all swim away)
Ray: Uh, if you want, Sammy, I'll be willing to carry the ring. I am the strongest one amongst us, after all.
Sammy: Thank you, Ray, but to avoid any temptations, the identity of the one who will carry it shall remain a secret.
(Nearby, Jax overhears about the conversation)
Scene: Big Boss's shipwreck. Jax is explaining to Big Boss about what happened.
Jax: And then they formed a group to throw away my precious ring. You have to help me get it back. My precious ring gives me infinite power!
Big Boss: A powerful ring?
Marco: Jax has completely lost it, boss.
Jax: That'll be "Mr. Jax" for starters. And if you must know, everybody in the reef is fighting to get their hands on it.
Big Boss: If this object is the cause of discord, it's just what I need.
Jax: What? It's my precious ring!
Big Boss: Uh, yes, of course. You are the one that found it, after all. You two will accompany Mr. Jax to help him recover that ring. Use any means necessary.
Jax: Yippee! My precious ring! Here I come!
(Jax, Marco, and Philippe all swim away)
Big Boss: Ha ha ha ha! That magic ring will be all mine. And thanks to it, the whole reef will be mine. What am I saying? The whole ocean! Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Scene: Outside the reef. Sammy and his group are swimming to the bottomless pit.
Pipo: It's for sure that the ring isn't in my bag. Nobody ever entrusts me with anything.
Ricky: I bet you anything that it's my grandfather that's got it.
Pipo: Oh, yeah. He's acting all normal. That's suspicious.
(Ella notices a fish swim past them. She looks up and sees a shark heading towards them)
Ella: Swim for cover!
(The group all hide behind a large rock. Annabel camouflages herself when the shark is looking for the group. The shark then swims away.)
Pipo: Whew! It was a blind shark.
Shark: Hmm? (The shark hears Pipo's voice and he's swimming to the group. Sammy throws a coral away, making a sound that the shark follows and swims away from the group) Huh?
Sammy: Phew!
(Nearby, Jax, Marco, and Philippe are swimming to the group)
Jax: It's gotta be one of the big, strong guys that has the ring. Sammy or Ray. So we go right up to them and...
(The same coral Sammy threw lands on Jax's face)
Marco and Philippe: Huh?
Jax: Hey! Now, that's getting carried away! (swims back, but the same blind shark appears)
Marco and Philippe: Aah! (hides behind a coral plant)
Jax: (knocks at the shark's teeth) Mr. Jax isn't a target! (the shark swims away) So, what was I saying?
(Meanwhile, the group is still swimming to the bottomless pit)
Pipo: Oh, boy, we're not even halfway there yet.
Ray: Are you all right, Annabel?
Annabel: (still in her camouflage color) Mm-hmm. (sighs)
Ray: Huh. (lands on the ocean floor, scaring Annabel) Ooh!
Annabel: Oh! (changes to her normal pink color)
Ray: And there you go. Problem solved. You got back your natural color.
(Jax, Marco, and Philippe all arrive)
Jax: (laughs) Let's keep this short and simple. Give me back my ring!
(Annabel gives Jax her satchel)
Sammy: No, Ray! Don't give him your bag!
Jax: Give me back my prized possession!
Pipo: (to Ricky) I told you he was the one who had it.
Jax: My precious!
Sammy: Hmm.
Ray: Uh... yeah!
(Ray gives Jax his satchel. Marco and Philippe both follow Jax as he carries the satchel behind a large rock)
Jax: Ah ha ha ha ha! (He looks down and sees that he's actually holding a small piece of coral)
Philippe: Heh heh heh. Jax thought he was so big. He sure didn't see that coming.
Marco: Mr. Jax!
(Marco and Philippe both laugh at Jax, and they swim back to Big Boss's shipwreck)
Jax: Uh... I should've known Big Boss was gonna play a trick on me. Well, we'll see who has the last laugh. But until then, which one of them is hiding my precious ring?
(Back to the group, they're discussing how Ray "gives" the ring to Jax)
Ricky: They're gonna bring the ring to Big Boss! We have to--
Sammy: Calm down, Ricky. You didn't really think I would have Ray carry the ring. That would've been too obvious.
Pipo: Talk about clever! Nobody would've ever expected the nicest and the smallest one of us.
(The group swim away, but Jax arrives)
Annabel: Hi there, Jax.
Jax: Mr. Jax! Big Boss is a traitor. He'll never get his hands on that ring, and you can count on me for that. I know a short cut to the deepest part of the seabed. Follow me!
Ricky: Oh, yeah, right. We all know you just want the ring for yourself.
Jax: No, no, no, no. Not anymore. I promise. All I want now is to get back at that dirty, rotten seahorse.
Annabel: After what Big Boss did to him, I believe him.
Jax: My short cut will save you guys a lot of precious times.
Sammy: Jax is right. We have to throw away the ring before the others find out the other one is a fake.
Jax: You can say that again. That's precisely the reason. There's not a minute to lose! (The group all swim to a cave) After you.
Sammy: Huh?
(The group swim inside, which is filled with crabs)
Jax: Ha ha ha! I did it! Soon there'll be nothing left of you, and the ring will once again be all mine!
(Jax swims away from the cave. The group all scream as the crabs all surround them)
Sammy: Swim away! (to Ray) You go with them!
Ray: Hmm.
(The kids swim to the exit, but a crab grab onto Ella's satchel)
Ella: Ohh!
Ray: Huh?
(Ray knocks the crab away. While Sammy and Ray both knock the crabs away, the kids swim to the exit as fast as possible. A crab blocks their way)
Annabel: Ohh!
Ella: For an eel, it's right between the eyes. And for a crab, it's... (charges to the crab) yah!
Ricky and Ray: Ella!
Ella: (tickling the crab, making it laugh) You have to tickle its belly.
(Ray and the kids all escape to the cave exit. Jax is hiding nearby)
Jax: Wow! But where are their bags? Hmm? Ella? This is gonna be super-easy.
Pipo: What a great idea that short cut was. Now, without Sammy to guide us, we're completely lost.
Ella: Grandpa, we have to go back and get him.
Ray: We first have to throw away the ring, Ella.
Pipo: But how do you expect us to throw the ring to the abyss when we don't even know where it is?
Ricky: Hey, with all your complaining, you're just making matters a whole lot worse, Pipo.
(Ricky and Pipo angrily glare at each other)
Pipo: What?
(Annabel shrieks)
Annabel: Sammy got eaten by crabs and now he's a ghost!
(Everyone looks up and sees Sammy. He coughs and then laughs)
Sammy: No, little Annabel, rest assured. I got out through a chalk tunnel on the other side of the cave. (coughs) Shall we go?
Ella: (hugs Sammy's face) Hmm. (dusts the chalk off her flippers) Ahh. (Later, the group all made it to the bottomless pit) Good riddance. This cursed ring only attracts problems.
Jax: My precious ring! (Jax pulls onto Ella's satchel, but the group all pull it back. Jax screams when the ring falls down from the bottomless pit) It made me feel so--so important!
Annabel: That wasn't the ring, Jax.
Sammy: Remember when you first came to us to reclaim it? You had that strength.
Jax: That's true! Right. Well, uh... thanks, but I gotta go! (swims away)
The kids: Huh?
Scene: Shell school
Lulu: Surprise! Pop quiz! Self-defense against crabs!
Pipo: This should be a piece of cake.
(The kids all laugh)
Scene: Big Boss's shipwreck. Big Boss is wearing the "ring".
Jax: Wow! It's astounding how great it looks on you.
Big Boss: I know. And now the reef is all mine.
Scene: Reef village. Big Boss is showing off his "ring" to the villagers.
Big Boss: Who's got the ring of power now? (The villagers all laugh at him for wearing a coral) Ja-a-a-ax!
