Ella: But where are you taking me, Ricky?
Ricky: Don't worry. It's just the next reef. Well, you know, I could defend you if I had to. Look, here it is.
Ella: Huh?
Ricky: (holds out a few yellow ocean flowers) They're pretty, aren't they?
Ella: Uh, yeah, very pretty, but we came all this way just for this? Is that what you wanted to show me?
Ricky: Well, in fact, uh, I wanted to get to be able to spend a little more time alone with you to, uh, to tell you, uh--
Ella: Alone with me? Hmm?
Annabel: Finally we found you two!
Pipo: What are you two doing here?
Annabel: Aah! (hugs a rock that has the yellow flowers)
Pipo: You could've told us where you were going.
Ella: (to Ricky) What was it that you wanted to me?
Ricky: No, nothing.
(The kids are about to swim back to the village, but Ella got herself stuck when a seaweed wraps one of her flippers)
Ella: Uhh! What is this?
Ricky: Wait! I'll help you. (tries to pull the seaweed out) Ouch!
Ella: Ricky... I'm not so sure that's the right method.
Ricky: I don't get it. It should come off if I pull it this way.
Roby: Let me do it.
Ella: Hmm?
(The kids all see a baby loggerhead sea turtle swimming towards them)
Roby: Move aside. (pushes Ricky away) I've already dealt with this kind of situation dozens of times. I know what you have to do.
Pipo: Huh?
Annabel: Oh.
(Roby unties Ella)
Ella: Yay!
Roby: And there you go.
Ella: Thank you so much.
Roby: Let me have a look at your flipper.
Ella: Huh?
(Ricky jealously stares at Roby)
Roby: Hmm. (He looks at Ella's flipper, causing her to giggle) It seems to be all right. Nothing broken. Oh, by the way, my name's Roby.
Ella: Nice to meet you. I'm Ella. (giggles)
Ricky: All you had to was tickle the plant, Roby.
Roby: Well, then why didn't you just do it, little guy?
(Ricky groans)

Roby: When I saw you taken prisoner by the seaweed, that reminded me of the time I helped a giant ray to get out of an old shipwreck. There were sharks swimming all around.
Annabel: Wow! And you weren't scared?
Roby: Oh, you know, just gotta know how to keep your cool. I'm used to it.
Ricky: Yeah, right.
Roby: It's funny how on the other side of the world, in the Sargasso Sea, these are exactly the same, except they're blue. (to Ella) They'd go even better with your eyes.
(Ella sighs and giggles)
Ricky: And what exactly brings you to these parts?
Roby: Hmm? Oh, just a coincidence. I like traveling the seas in search of adventure.
Pipo: You travel all by yourself? At your age?
Roby: Mm-hmm. Well, you know, there's no given age to go out and discover the ocean. And if I'm alone... (cries) ...it's because of my family.
Pipo: Huh?
Roby: Sorry, but I-- I'd rather not talk about it. It's too difficult.
Ella: You mean that they're all--
Annabel and Pipo: That's terrible!
Ella: If you want, you can come live in the reef with us.
Pipo: Uh-huh.
Roby: Huh?
(Ricky grabs Ella and pulls her aside)
Ella: Ricky, what's the matter with you?
Ricky: Are you crazy or what? What do you find so special about Roby? Can't you see that he's just a big show-off who lies through his flippers?
Roby: And there are a lot more sharks in the Southern Seas than there are in the seas of the north.
Ella: (She sighs, causing Ricky to jealously groans at her. She then giggles) I don't believe it. Are you jealous?
Ricky: Me? Jealous? (Ella giggles) Ha ha ha! Are you kidding? I'm just surprised you've fallen for his little number, hook, line, and sinker.
Ella: Roby seems very nice, and he's already experienced so many things for his age. Whereas you are just reacting like a baby. Hmph! (swims to Roby)
Ricky: Me? A baby?
Ella: (tor Roby) Come with us. I'll introduce you to Sammy, my grandfather. You'll see, he's really great. And he, too, has traveled all the oceans.
(Ella and Roby both swim away)
Ricky: If that old oyster-head thinks he's gonna be the big star around here... (imagines Roby having fun with Sammy, Ray, Rita, Shelly, and Lulu) My friends, I need your help, but you mustn't say anything to anybody.

Sammy: And if you want, we can go on a big excursion over to the Coral Cliffs. (swims away)
Roby: I'd love that, Sammy.
Ricky: You may have succeeded in lying to everyone else, but I'm on to your little game.
Roby: What are you talking about?
Ricky: Ugh! I'm sure you made everything up just to get Ella's attention, and I'm gonna prove it.
Roby: Oh, yeah?
Ricky: If you're so tough, a little challenge wouldn't scare you.
Roby: A challenge? Okay. Against you, no problem.
Ricky: To prevent any cheating, Annabel will be the referee.
Roby: Sure, fine with me. Did you know that that's exactly the way young turtles challenge each other in the seas of the north?
Ricky: Oh, by the way, we'll do it outside the reef, of course.
Roby: Ah. Uh...
Ricky: You afraid? Would you rather give up?
Roby: Afraid? Don't make me laugh. I've had lots of adventures. But one thing I've never discovered is fear.
Ricky: Well, perfect, then. We'll just see.
(Ricky and Roby both grunt at each other)

(Ella is looking for Ricky and Roby)
Ella: Huh? Hmm.
Pipo: (hiding behind a seaweed) Hold her back. Hold her back. How am I supposed to do that, Ricky? (sees Ella swimming to him) Oh, hi there.
Ella: Hi.
Pipo: Uh, how would you like to play a game of fish-and-cat, just the two of us?
Ella: Um, no, thanks, Pipo. I'm looking for Roby and Ricky. You haven't seen them by any chance, have you?
Pipo: No. Uh, sure haven't. Uh, say there, did you know that I can touch my fin with the tip of my nose?
Ella: Huh?
(Pipo tries to touch his fin with the tip of his nose)
Pipo: Hang on, just wait. I almost did it.
(Pipo continues tries to touch his fin with his nose)

Ricky: Ready?
Roby: Ready.
Annabel: All righty, three, two, five, go! (Ricky and Roby both zoom past her, causing her to spin around) Whoo-hoo!
(Roby and Ricky both race around outside the reef. They swim to the finish line where Annabel is. Ricky cuts the seaweed finish line)
Ricky: I won!
Roby: Sorry, kid, but I think I did.
Ricky: Annabel?
Annabel: (admiring a nearby swarm of jellyfish) Look how pretty they are! They look like transparent flowers.
Ricky: Annabel! Suffering squid! Don't tell me you didn't watch the race.
Annabel: Huh?
Roby: (to Annabel) You know, I too am super-fascinated by jellyfish. There are all kinds of different-colored ones in the Aegean Sea.
Ricky: Fine. Next challenge.

Pipo: Uh, look at this. I'm gonna clap my two fins together. (tries to clap)
Ella: Yeah, all right, great. I'm gonna go look for the boys.
Pipo: Wait, wait! Uh, did you know that I can swim in a figure-eight?
(Pipo swims in a figure-eight, causing Ella to sigh annoyingly)

Ricky: Ha ha! Precision and power. This time I'm gonna win, flippers down.
Annabel: Ready? Shoot! (tosses a potted coral plant to Ricky)
(Ricky tosses the coral plant near a target that's painted on a manta ray)
Ricky: Yeah!
Roby: We'll see about that. And there you go. (tosses his coral plant)
Ricky: Cool.
(Roby's coral plant lands next to Ricky's. Ricky and Roby both high-flippers)
Annabel: Hey, but--
(The manta ray starts to swim away)
Ricky: Ah, we gotta start all over again.
Roby: And what do you say we come up with another challenge? Something that would really set us apart.
Ricky: Hmm. (sees a nearby lobster cage) All right. We'll go get inside that lobster cage.
Roby: Huh?
Ricky: And the first one who goes out is a scaredy-pants.
Roby: Sure, no problem.

(Pipo swims around Ella, causing her to become increasingly impatient)
Ella: Say there, Pipo, what are you playing at?
Pipo: Uh... uh... I--I don't feel very well, I must've done too many figure-eights.
Ella: All right, that's enough! You're gonna stop all your nonsense and tell me what's going on.

Ricky: So, then, you want to get out already, Mr. Adventurer?
Roby: After you, kid. (the lobster cage rattles as the boat above them is about to move away) Whoa! Oh.
Annabel: Oh!
(The cage rattles again)
Roby: Whoa! (swims out of the cage)
Ricky: Ha ha ha! I knew you were nothing but a big show-off. I won!
Roby: Huh?
(Ella and Pipo both arrive)
Ella: I knew I should've never left the two of you alone together. Ricky, what are you doing in there?
(Above the surface, the boat starts moving away, causing the cage to move as well. Roby, Ella, Pipo, and Annabel all follow the cage, but the cage door closes, trapping Ricky inside)
Ricky: I'm stuck! Aah! Help me!
Annabel: (tries to open the cage door) I can't! It's too hard!
Ella: Oh, no!
Ricky: Roby, you've already been in a situation like this, I suppose. You must have at least one great idea how to get me out of here.
Roby: Uh, yeah. I, uh-- Actually, no. I have an idea.
(Roby ties a seaweed plant around the same manta ray from earlier)
Manta ray: Huh?
(Roby screams as the manta ray, scaring him and makes him swim away. However, the seaweed rips in half due to the cage's weight)
Roby: (to Ricky) I'm sorry!
(Ricky's friends all grab Roby and try to pull the cage door open)
Ricky: Yes! That could work! (The kids all open the cage door, allowing Ricky to escape. The kids, except Ricky, all flung themselves back and land on a nearby coral plant) Hooray! Bravo! You guys did it!
(Ricky picks up Pipo)
Pipo: Huh?
Ricky: (to Roby) Thanks for saving me.
Roby: Yeah, it's for sure that without me, you would've ended up as somebody's dinner.
(Roby's parents and Sammy all arrive)
Roby's mother: Roby! (her son falls out of the coral plant in surprise) Finally! There you are! We've been looking everywhere for you since this morning. You know very well you're not allowed to go out on your own like that. Did you at least remember to have your snack?
Sammy: I was kind of surprised to see this young man wandering all by himself in the great ocean. So I went off looking for his parents.
Roby's father: We were very worried.
Ricky: Ha ha! You see? Roby isn't as grown up as he pretended to be.
Ella: (to Roby) Why did you lie to us?
Roby: I'm sorry, Ella. I didn't want you to take me for a big old baby who follows his parents around.
Sammy: Oh, I know lots of others of your kind around here. (pats Ricky on the head) But you still have plenty of time to learn lots of things.
Roby's father: Thank you, Sammy. Roby, say good-bye to your friends.
Roby: Right, well... bye. I hope you're not mad at me. It still was great being with you guys.
Ricky: Ah, cut it out. You're gonna make me cry like a tadpole. (Roby and his parents all swim away) You'll come back to see us... when you've become a great adventurer.
Roby: Promise!
Ricky, Ella, Pipo, and Annabel: Bye!

Ella: Huh? (Ricky hides the flowers behind his back) Huh? By the way, what was it you wanted to tell me this morning?
Ricky: Me? Uh... uh...
Ella: You know, Ricky, for as long as we've been friends, you should know by now that I hate the color yellow.
Ricky: Huh?
(Pipo and Annabel both arrive and laugh. Ella then laughs, revealing that she's joking to Ricky. Ricky tosses the flowers up)
