Scene: Playground. Ricky, Ella, and Annabel are playing the coin toss.
Ricky: Get ready for this one! Yah! (tosses the coin to Ella)
Ella: Uhh! Your turn! (tosses the coin to Annabel, but she misses)
Annabel: Ohh! Huh? (the coin lands outside the playground) I'll get it.
Ricky: Huh? What is Pipo up to anyway?
Ella: He must've had something important to finish up.
Annabel: (holding the coin) Your turn, Ricky!
Ricky: Hmm?
(Annabel tosses the coin to Ricky, but Pipo arrives and catches it)
Ricky: Ah, well, it's about time.
Ella: Where have you been?
Pipo: I'm gonna have to leave you guys.
Annabel: What? Already? But you just got here. Come on, just one match at least.
Pipo: No. I mean to say really. I'm leaving the village.
Ella: What are you talking about? How could that be?
Pipo: Well, swimming around outside the reef, my father says he found a great spot that he calls the Oasis. We're moving next week.
Ricky: We can't let that happen.
Scene: Pipo's habitat. The kids are explaining to Pipo's father about why they don't want him and Pipo to move.
Ella: And that's why you simply cannot leave. Without his friends, Pipo will get bored.
Arthur: It's no use wasting your energy, children. I've made up my mind. And, well, you'll be able to see each other during vacation. You-You've nothing to say?
Pipo: We're behind you, Dad.
Arthur: Ah. Uh, I realize you're not very happy about going, Pipo, but I'm sure you'll be very happy there.
Ricky: But what could there be that's better than here?
Arthur: Everything. Lots of space, a big patio with a superb view overlooking the calm and quiet sea. It'll be a real change from life here in the reef with all the noise and nonstop hustle and bustle.
Billy: You know a spot where there's the most fish? It's between the head and the tail! (laughs)
Villager: Ha ha ha! All right.
Arthur: And my neighbors are charming, but in the end, they give me a real headache.
Ella: But still, it's beautiful around here. Won't you miss it?
Arthur: Uh, listen, children. I won't go back on my decision. Our new life will be at the Oasis, and Pipo will be very happy there.
Scene: Outside of the shell school
Pipo: It's all over. It's hopeless. My father will never change his mind.
Ricky: And all this just because of a minuscule problem of space and noise.
Ella: Hey, wait! There just might be a solution. If we manage to make our village as nice as the Oasis, then your father won't want to leave anymore.
Ricky: Oh, yeah! And I could take care of redecorating your house.
(Ella and Annabel both sigh)
Pipo: But how could we do all that?
Ella: I've got a little idea.
Scene: Reef village. The kids, except Ricky, are swimming with Arthur outside his habitat.
Arthur: That's very nice of you, children, offering to take me out for a little swim.
Ella: We figured that we'd better take advantage of your last days here.
Ricky: Hmm. Time for some serious redecorating. (swims inside Pipo's habitat)
(A few miles away, the kids and Arthur are continuing strolling around the village)
Ella: (to her friends) Now, don't forget, this little stroll must be absolutely perfect. Keep your eyes open.
Pipo: Ahh. You know, Dad, I'm sure gonna miss this village.
Arthur: Of course you will a little bit at first. But trust me, you'll like it there a whole lot better.
Ella: Ohh, look how pretty those corals are. Did you see them?
Arthur: Oh, yeah. Where's that? (swims away)
Pipo: Huh? (Pipo swims to his father to stop him from swimming)
Annabel: Oh, and what if we went over to the field of seaweed?
Arthur: All right, why not? (swims away)
(Annabel chuckles. Ella hears Shelly and Rita nearby)
Shelly: Oh, I know. Ha ha!
Ella: Huh?
Rita: You see? That's exactly what I thought.
Shelly: That's right.
(Ella swims to Shelly and Rita)
Ella: Shh! (giggles nervously)
Rita and Shelly: Uh... huh?
(Ella swims back to her friends and Arthur)
Ella: Ohh, phew.
(Meanwhile at Pipo's habitat, Ricky is still redecorating)
Ricky: Hmm.
(Back to Arthur and the kids, Ella sees the Rockfish ahead)
Ella: Uh-oh, problem. Straight ahead.
(The Rockfish all swim by and laugh. Ella follows them)
Glitz: You can't catch me!
Arthur: Excuse me?
Pipo: No, nothing, Dad.
Arthur: Hey, I'm kind of hungry.
Babbles: And Glitz wins again!
Ella: Hey! Next time, try to be more careful.
Glitz: We do whatever we want to, flippers.
(Ella groans. Later, the kids and Arthur are at the seaweed garden. Arthur is talking to a crab)
Arthur: Ahh. Thanks. That was a very nice little stroll. But my fins are starting to get worn out. Shall we go back now?
Pipo: Mission accomplished. He's super-happy.
Ella: And when he sees Ricky's redecorating job, he'll for sure never, ever want to leave.
Scene: Pipo's habitat
Ricky: Ah, there you are! Finally. Come on in, quick. I have a surprise for you. (Arthur swims inside his home) Yeah, I know. Pretty cool, huh? Huh?
Arthur: What in the world happened here? But why would you do this? I no longer even recognize my own home.
Ricky: It was... so that... so that you would hear less noise and everything, and to make it prettier.
Annabel: In any case, we can't hear the neighbors anymore.
Billy: (muffled) Wait till you hear this one!
(Ricky facepalms)
Annabel: I mean... less?
Ella: We can take everything down and do it up differently if you prefer.
Ricky: I'm sorry. We just wanted you to have a nice day and transform your house into a palace. It would've been a perfect day. It was up until now.
Arthur: Wait a minute. What do you mean, you just wanted me to have a nice day? That peaceful little stroll we had was all just staged?
Ricky: It was to get you to want to stay here, that's all.
Arthur: I understand. But you can't force people to do things they don't want to. What's more, you've turned my house into an inhabitable mess. Pipo, we'd best set off to the Oasis right this minute.
The kids: What?
Pipo: Way to go, Ricky. You ruined everything.
Ricky: What'd I do? I was just trying to help.
Pipo: What's more, now my dad is angry. Oh, I knew I should've never listened to you.
Ricky: Well, if you're not happy, why don't you just go to your silly Oasis?
Pipo: You know what? That's exactly what I'm gonna do, and I won't even say good-bye!
(Pipo swims away, making Ricky grunts)
Ella: Pipo, wait!
Scene: Outside the reef village. The villagers are saying good-bye to Pipo and his father.
Sammy: And most of all, don't hesitate to come back and see us. You'll always be welcome here.
Pipo: Hmm.
(Ella and Annabel both sob in despair. Pipo groans when Ricky is present.)
Arthur: Ready for your new life?
Pipo: Yeah.
(Pipo and his father both swim away to the Oasis)
Scene: The Oasis.
Arthur: You see? I wasn't lying. It's marvelous, isn't it?
Pipo: Yeah, yeah, great. It's quiet, that's for sure.
Arthur: Super-quiet. You should go for a swim around the neighborhood.
Pipo: Okay, Dad. (swims away)
Arthur: Hmm.
(Pipo swims around the area)
Pipo: It's deserted here. Ohh, there's nothing to do, nobody to talk to. (sees three barracudas) Huh? (He gasps and hides behind a large rock. The barracudas swim past him) Oh, I get it. Now I understand why nobody lives here. If my dad could see better, we wouldn't be here. (He gasps when the barracudas are swimming to the Oasis) Oh, no! Dad!
Scene: Outside the reef village
Ricky; I know, I know, it was wrong of me not to come and say good-bye to Pipo. I feel really bad around it.
Ella: That's why we have to go see him. You guys have to make up.
Annabel: Do you know where the Oasis is?
Ella: (sees Pipo swimming to them) Huh?
Annabel: Pipo!
Pipo: The Oasis... barracudas... my dad!
Ricky: We'll get him out of there. Don't you worry.
Scene: The Oasis. The barracudas are surrounding the Oasis
Arthur: Pipo? Are you there? (swims out of the Oasis) Pipo? (The barracudas are swimming to him) Oh, my. Where'd he go? (The barracudas both snarl at him) Ah. Neighbors. Good afternoon, gentlemen. Uh, excuse me for bothering you, but--
Pipo: Dad! Watch out for the barracudas!
(Pipo and his friends all swim to the Oasis)
Arthur: Huh?
(Arthur swims up before the barracudas eat him. He follows his son and his friends)
Pipo: Come get us! You'll never catch us!
(The kids and Arthur all swim around the Oasis while being chase)
Ricky: Let's spread out!
(The kids and Arthur all spread out. Pipo and his father hide inside the Oasis while Ricky, Ella, and Annabel all hide behind a large rock)
Pipo: Huh? My friends! We have to help them, Dad.
Arthur: Boy, oh, boy. Are you sure? The barracudas might still be around.
Pipo: Well, of course, they're still around. You stay here and hide, Dad. I'll be right back.
Arthur: Be careful, son.
Pipo: Hmm.
(Pipo swims out of the Oasis)
Ella: Pipo!
Pipo: I have a plan, you guys.
Ricky: Hey, you barracudas! Are you hungry or not?
(The barracudas are chasing after the kids. One of the barracudas is chasing after Pipo and Annabel)
Pipo: Now!
(Pipo and Annabel swim away, leading to the barracuda bump into a large rock. Another barracuda is chasing after Ella around the Oasis, while Ricky is being chased by another one. Ricky hides behind a potted sea anemone)
Ricky: Hmm? Hmm?
(Ricky giggles. He then gasps when he sees Ella being chase nearby. Ricky and Ella both swim forward to each other and then goes up, leading to the two barracudas bump into each other)
Ricky and Ella: (high-flippers) Whoo-hoo! Yeah!
(The kids all laugh)
Arthur: Thank you, children. I don't know what I would've done without you.
Ricky: That's what friends are for.
Pipo: And what are we gonna do now, Dad?
Arthur: Well, I guess we're going to have to find a new home somewhere else.
(Ella looks to see the barracudas are recovering from their injuries)
Ella: In any case, if you want my advice, we shouldn't hang around here much longer.
Scene: Reef village. The kids and Arthur are swimming back from the Oasis.
Ricky: Thanks for having accompanied us.
Arthur: Oh, don't mention it. It's the least we could do.
Ella: You really don't want us to help you find a new house, then?
Ricky: Somewhere quieter, bigger? Somewhere out there in the ocean?
Arthur: Well, I don't think I'll ever find a place as fabulous as the Oasis, so... now that we're here...
Pipo: But... do you mean to say that...
Arthur: We're coming back to live, yes.
The kids: Hooray!
Arthur: But first of all, you're going to take all that hideous seaweed down from off my walls, all right?
Ricky: With pleasure, sir!
Scene: Pipo's habitat
Arthur: Ahh. It's really not so bad here after all. (Nearby, the Rockfish accidentally toss a coin at him) What?
Ricky: Huh?
Arthur: How much longer is this ruckus gonna carry on?
(The Rockfish all swim away)
THE END
